On August 14th, 2004 Arrowhead residents will have a new choice in entertainment. Color Me Mine (located at 20241 N. 67th Ave., Suite A-8), Glendale, AZ will open its doors to the community. Part of a nationwide trend, this paint-your-own-pottery studio offers a creative alternative to movies, ballgames and hanging out by the pool.

August 1, 2004 -- We have designed our studio to be a warm and inviting place to gather as family or friends to create great memories together, says Teresa Vernon, co-owner of Color Me Mine. No creative or artistic ability is required to have fun, notes Teresa. We work hard to ensure that visiting artists relax and enjoy the process of making one-of-a-kind ceramic pieces that they will treasure just as much as the time spent together making them.

At Color Me Mine, its easy to learn and explore the ceramic arts. Here is how:

First, select bisque from studio shelves. Bisque is clay that has been formed and fired once to make it ready for painting. Color Me Mine offers a wide range of bisque that appeals to every member of the family and every room in the house. Our selection of bisque includes over 200 items such as plates and bowls, footballs and ballet slippers, holiday ornaments and gift items for special occasions throughout the year.
Second, select colors and plan design. Color Me Mine has books, magazines, stamps, stencils and painted samples all throughout the studio to help you get the creative juices flowing. If you get stuck our Design Center can help you with over 20,000 images. All you have to do is select the image you want, hit the print button and the image is yours.
Third, relax, paint and enjoy! Families, co-workers and friends find that time spent at a ceramic studios painting tables is relaxing and rejuvenating.
Fourth, leave painted pieces at the studio where staff will then dip them in clear glaze and fire in the studios kiln.
Finally, return a few days later to retrieve your fabulous fired creations. We will ship if you are traveling or want to send as a gift!

We have a lot going on. It is the ultimate group activity. Color Me Mine gives a different twist on Kids and Adult Birthday Parties, Friends Night Out Parties, Anniversary Parties, Baby Showers, Mom and Me Groups, Infant and Child Handprints and activities for, Schools, Scouts, Charities and Religious organizations!

Color Me Mine also offers an Art Adventure program kids will love. The painting classes will teach kids artistic techniques linking each days art project to the stories, facts and myths we discover.
